Our Whole Lives (OWL) Sexuality Education Program

This nationally acclaimed program supports parents in educating children about values, family relationships, puberty, gender identity, reproduction, health and safety, communication and decision-making and seeks to promote dialogue between parent and child. We offer OWL at all grade levels from K – 12th grade. Please see our Director of Religious Education for more information on the levels offered this year.

Young Religious Unitarian Universalists (YRUU)

An ongoing youth group for our youth from ages 14-18 which includes social activities, worship, learning, leadership and social action. Join the official PSWD YRUU Facebook Group to hear about upcoming youth events.

Camp de Benneville Pines Retreat

A time for relaxing and playing together at our beautiful mountain camp. Tapestry joins with two other UU congregations, Laguna Beach and Orange Coast, for this enjoyable weekend.

Religious Education Camps for children, youth and families at de Benneville Pines

Week-long summer camps and week-end camps throughout the year provide opportunities for rest, recreation, exploration and making new UU friends from around our district at our beautiful mountain retreat. For more information see the Camp de Benneville Pines website.

Generations Together Multigenerational Worship

Our children and youth are important members of our faith community. They learn by doing and experiencing firsthand. A primary aim of our religious Education program is to cultivate a sense of pleasure and respect for worship experiences.

The children and youth of our church are included for about the first 15 minutes of the worship service most Sundays, after which they are excused to their Religious Education classes.

There are also several Multigenerational Services during the year. These services take the place of regular Religious Education classes.

Young people are welcome in our worship services. Regardless of whether they understand everything that happens, we believe that they will absorb information little by little, as well as develop a sense of identity as a Unitarian Universalist.
