Planning Your Visit
When and where are services held?
Services are held every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and typically last an hour. Our address is 23430 Madero, Mission Viejo, CA (map)
Is parking available?
We have ample parking in the front and at the rear of the building.
Is the building accessible for those with disabilities?
Yes. Our church is accessible in many ways to those with disabilities and special needs, including a ramp from the front parking lot. Our building is on the ground floor.
Are children welcome?
Definitely Yes! Child care for ages 4 and under is available in our nursery from 10:15 to 11:45 am. Children over 4 are invited to attend Religious Exploration classes or attend services. What should I wear?
Dress is casual. Wear what is comfortable for you. Some people dress more formally, and that’s fine too.
What can I expect when I visit your service?
Our services include thoughtful readings, stimulating spiritual sermons from our minister and guest speakers, lay-led participation Sundays; musical performances, special time for children, singing together, and time for meditation. A weekly newsletter is emailed to subscribers on Tuesday of each week. You may subscribe to it by entering your email address in the Subscribe box in the right sidebar.
Will someone try to “sell me” on your church? I don’t like to be pressured.
We want to make every visitor feel welcomed and comfortable. You will not be pressured or given a “sales pitch.” If you wish to meet our minister following the service, please let someone from the Membership Committee know, and they will arrange it. Be sure to stop by the Welcome Table to complete a visitor information form and pick up our Visitor brochures, information about classes, and interest groups, and social activities. Where can I find a schedule of upcoming events and activities?
You can access our online newsletter, CommUUnique, and sign up to receive our weekly and monthly newsletters using the Subscribe box in the right sidebar. The weekly newsletter announces planned events for the upcoming Sunday and week, including the children’s activities, lunches, and other events.
Can I be involved in activities if I’m not a member?
Membership is required to vote at congregational meetings, serve as a Committee Chair, and serve on the Board of Trustees, but is not required for any other activity. Check the Get Involved page to see a list of our activities and groups.
