Debbie Rodriguez

Debbie Rodriguez became a UU in 1992. She joined the Unitarian Universalist Church of Long Beach with her family in 2002 after six years in Bolivia with the Peace Corps. She met her husband, Ramon in Bolivia and their two sons, Rumi and Mayu were born there.

At UUCLB she has been on the worship committee, the nominating committee, taught RE, worked on the pastoral care team and chalice guild, and recently joined the UUCLB Board of Trustees. She is an accountant, writer, and manages the family art business. Last year she completed a rough draft of her memoir “Papas ‘n’ ‘Taters: Southern, Southwestern, and South American Influences.” She enjoys playing Bolivian folk music with her family , loves word games, biking, and recently completed 10 years as a docent at the Museum of Latin American Art.
