emma’s revolution, a Concert at Orange Coast UU Church

Get energized with a musical uprising of truth and hope from emma’s revolution, the duo of award-winning, activist musicians, Pat Humphries and Sandy Opatow.

Pat Humphries' and Sandy Opatow’s music has been featured on NPR’s “All Things Considered” and Pacifica Radio’s “Democracy Now!” Their songs “Peace, Salaam, Shalom” and “Keep on Moving Forward” are sung at vigils and demonstrations around the world. “If I Give Your Name” was Grand Prize Winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

Starr Ranch Barbecue

Please join the Sierra Club's Sierra Sage Group at the very popular Starr Ranch Barbecue on April 20 from 1-5 p.m. The Starr Ranch is an Audubon Society Sanctuary situated in beautiful Bell Canyon.

Activities at the Barbecue will include hiking, bird watching, listening to the Saddle Mountain Boys Band, watching a live video feed on a hawk's nest, and possibly seeing deer in the nearby meadow.

The menu will include hamburgers, veggie burgers, salads, beans, desserts, fresh fruits and all the trimmings. A beverage bar(donations welcome) will be serving beer and wine with yours truly behind the bar.

Proceeds go to fund various environmental projects in South Orange County, especially the effort to stop the 241 extension and save the beautiful San Mateo watershed.
