Global Warming: Energy, Climate, Population

On January 27 at 7:00 p.m. the Sierra Sage will hold a most important meeting on Global Warming. This meeting will consist of a panel of experts; a college professor on climate change, a specialist on solar energy in the business, and a water expert from the San Clemente City government. Each will speak for twenty minutes to be followed by a period of questions/answers. I will be the moderator. Refreshments will be served. I hope many from Tapestry will attend; the meeting will be held at Tapestry. Thanks.

City of Lost Children

On Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Amnesty International (Irvine chapter) and Living Ubuntu will host a combined meeting featuring Daily Pilot photographer, Kent Treptow. He recently visited Mongolia and photographed Mongloian street children who take cover down under manholes to survive the extreme cold.
