Global Warming: Energy, Climate, Population

On January 27 at 7:00 p.m. the Sierra Sage will hold a most important meeting on Global Warming. This meeting will consist of a panel of experts; a college professor on climate change, a specialist on solar energy in the business, and a water expert from the San Clemente City government. Each will speak for twenty minutes to be followed by a period of questions/answers. I will be the moderator. Refreshments will be served. I hope many from Tapestry will attend; the meeting will be held at Tapestry. Thanks.

City of Lost Children

On Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. Amnesty International (Irvine chapter) and Living Ubuntu will host a combined meeting featuring Daily Pilot photographer, Kent Treptow. He recently visited Mongolia and photographed Mongloian street children who take cover down under manholes to survive the extreme cold. Come join us as Kent tells us the stories of these children, both haunting and inspiring at the same time. Details on the Living Ubuntu website.
