If you would like to come to the BBQ, but can’t make it to church to sign up, please contact Laura Mazzulo at as soon as possible.

Remember, a check to Tapestry for this event is partially tax deductible and helps Ways and Means collect much needed revenue for Tapestry. What a great way to socialize! Good company, Good view, Good music. Good eats.

Welcoming Congregation Update

The Welcoming Congregation committee has nearly completed its work toward getting our congregation recognized as one that is welcoming to the GLBT community. For more info on the work already accomplished and the projects still to come, visit the Welcoming Congregation page.

$crip $tuff

Loretta Joseph, Anne Farrell, & Carol Wheeler work hard to make the scrip program an important source of needed income for our congregation. They are making an effort to persuade all households to participate on a monthly basis, even if only minimally. The emphasis now is on purchases which everyone has to make each month — supermarkets, drug stores, and gas stations, etc. They will be asking members and friends which places they patronize so that a supply of the needed scrip is always at hand.

For more info the scrip programs we particiate in see the scrip page.

Tapestry Bookstore

Please check out the offerings on UU history, spirituality, social action, etc., on the second and fourth Sundays after the service. Please contribute your suggestions at the Bookstore or contact Alison Holt at

Fair Trade Coffee & Tea

Coffee Talk
Coffee-drinking dinosaurHi, your Coffee Dragon here again. My bosses are on my, uh, back again to move some of this new shipment of coffee, tea and chocolate. To top it off, my girllizard friend left me, so it’s back to the shrink again. Can you help me out by buying some Equal Exchange products? What you pay for coffee goes directly to growers’ coops and not to big coffee houses. We don’t sell here to raise money, but as a social action to help poor farmers make a decent return. Our price is $7.00, less than other organizations are charging for their coffee, tea and cocoa. Makes great gifts. You may purchase our coffee every Sunday at the self-service box at the back of the social hall. For questions, call our EE Coordinator, Terry Smith at .

Sunday Service Announcements

An announcement slip sheet is included in the order of service each Sunday. Please send all announcements to be printed to by Wednesday afternoon.
